Character Information
Peter Benjamin Parker is the only know superhero in his universe. Locally called the Amazing Spider-man or sometimes just Spider-Man he started his career in crime fighting after being bitten by a genetically modified spider made by Oscorp.

He has over the years as Spider-Man had many successes. He stopped Dr. Connors from turning all of New York into genetically modified lizard people. He stopped the villain known as Electro from keeping New York on a city wide black out. He took down the Green Goblin.

He's also faced many tragedies in the death of his Uncle Ben who, along with his Aunt May, raised him after his parents died. He wasn't able to protect Captain Stacy from dying at the hands of Dr. Connors transformed into his Lizard form. Nor was he able to save his girlfriend and love of his life from a fall. He did catch her but believes it was his catch and the sudden stop that killed her.

While he has no memory of it thanks to a magic spell, Peter has also traveled the multiverse and helped another Peter cure alternate versions of Connors and Electro when they appeared in the same universe. He was able to save that MJ from falling to her death which helped give him a sense of closure over Gwen's death though he has no memory of this just a sense of peace with being Spider-Man.

Appearance
Peter is tall and lanky though some of his height is something of an illusion thanks to his long limbs. He tends to wear layers of long-sleeved shirt, t-shirt, and hoodie to disguise the fact that he is athletic with slim muscles that speak to an active lifestyle and strength not fitting in with the super geek image he wants to project. He is often wearing a backpack with his skateboard strapped to it.

Catch him in his Spider-Man persona and he wears a skintight red and blue suit with a spider web pattern over it. It shows off plenty of what he's truly physically capable of.
Skills & Abilities
  • Superhuman Strength & Stamina: Thanks to the genetic enhancements of the spider bite Peter possesses the proportional strength of a spider. The guy can do everything from hang from a web while keeping a minivan from falling into the river, hold back a bus about to crash into people, and jump incredible distances. His muscles are more efficient and tougher than normal human muscles. They’re even better than supersoldier muscles.

The genetic enhancements to his muscles also means Peter doesn’t get tired as easily as a normal person. He is able to fight, get hurt, and keep going when a normal person would get tired. Some of this is also because of his healing abilities.

  • Superhuman Durability & Healing: The genetic enhancements from the spider bite also made Peter tougher than a normal person. He’s able to withstand violent impacts, electric shocks, and walk off getting shot. It doesn’t stop the pain but it’s very difficult to injure him in a way that will stop him.

And when he does get injured Peter can in a sense “walk it off”. His metabolism is accelerated which allows for rapid healing of most injuries. He can heal from gunshot wounds and cuts without seeking medical attention. This accelerated metabolism helps him fight off the effects of poisons, drugs, and alcohol because his body processes those things super quickly.

  • Superhuman Agility & Flexibility: While being a skateboarder gave Peter an awareness of his body before the spider bite after it he is able to perform incredible feats of agility and flexibility that he couldn’t have before. His sense of balance is enhanced and that in combination with his enhanced strength make him an incredible acrobat able to contort and control his body in ways that make circus aerialists envious.

This is especially useful in the air and when it comes to swinging around. Peter can change direction mid-air, flip around to catch himself on a wall, or change where he’s going to land so he ends up in a more advantageous position. It makes him harder to hit in a fight and helps him dodge attacks coming his way because he’s flexible enough to move his body out of the way.

  • Wallcrawling: It’s not entirely clear how Peter is able to do this but it’s definitely part of his abilities. He sticks to walls and ceilings. Even when wearing gloves and shoes he can do this. It could be comics canon where he’s literally altering things at a subatomic level so he sticks to things. It could be Friendly Neighborhood style where he’s got microscopic hairs that cause him to cling to even seemingly smooth surfaces. Amazing Spider-Man canon never explains this, it just shows that he can.

  • Spider-Sense & Enhanced Reflexes: One of the biggest changes to Peter’s body was the development of his Spider-Sense a.k.a. The Tingle. It is an early warning system that gives Peter the heads up to any danger coming his way so he can move out of the way or react appropriately. It might even work from long distances if the threat is big enough.

It works in concert with Peter’s enhanced reflexes. Without the physical ability to respond to the Spider-Sense’s warning he’d still get hit by things. It’s most obvious when he’s exhausted. Even though he gets warned by the Spider-Sense he’s too tired to dodge out of the way of the danger coming.

  • Combat Skills: While not trained in combat like most superheroes he has developed his own combat style that incorporates acrobatics and wrestling techniques into an effective combat style that utilizes all the physical enhancements the spider bite gave him. He really relies on his superior strength, speed, and reflexes to make up for his lack of training.

  • Genius Intelligence: This ability existed before Peter’s got bit. By the time he was ten his Uncle couldn’t help him with his homework, it was simply too advanced. Peter’s genius really shows itself in the fields of chemistry, physics and engineering. It’s how he’s able to make the spider-gadgets that are key to his crime fighting as Spider-Man.

It also gets him in trouble because he does things like solve the decay problem in Dr. Connor’s research which then leads to Dr. Connor’s becoming the Lizard.

He seems to have a fascination with the multiverse and the theories surrounding it.
